Fixing this trim is easy with cadmium or galvanised nails or screws, spaced at a maximum of 300mm (12") apart. Secure each length firmly with a minimum of eight fixings, allowing a 3mm gap between lengths for expansion. Consider priming the fixing leg for optimal performance. For a safeguarded and aesthetically pleasing roofing solution, this internal angle ensures quality shielding against the elements for your home.
For built-up felt roofing, dress the first layer of felt over the kerb and affix the Nutrim as instructed. Lay the top layer of felt similarly, turning the upper edge into the hood to prevent lifting of the outside layer for a simple yet effective solution.
When used with mastic asphalt, fix the Nutrim in position before laying the asphalt. On timber kerbs, attach sheathing felt and expanded metal lathing to the inside edge of the fixing arm. For concrete roofs, stop the sheathing felt at the kerb's base. Lay the mastic asphalt skirtings with the top edge turned into the protective hood of the aluminium trim, ensuring a seamless and secure fit.
