Find out moreThis Acrypol + roof coating provides a complete, protective, waterproof system and has been specifically developed to refurbish failed domestic, commercial or industrial flat roofs and conduct day to day maintenance requirements. This Medium Grey Acrypol+ coating is generally used for patching repairs, blending into surrounding building material colours.
In severe weather conditions, it is very rarely possible to perform remedial repairs, as the surfaces are normally required to be completely dry when treating for an effective long term repair of water penetration problems associated with leaking roofs. However, Acrypol+ is applicable during damp weather conditions while providing a long term solution to the problem. Featuring one-coat, all-weather application properties combined with a straightforward process, makes this Acrypol+ an especially appealing choice if you are employing your own labour for general property maintenance.
As an acrylic resin dispersed in a solvent to form a semi-liquid paste, Acrypol+ dries into a durable, ultra-tough, seamless, elastic overlay. This coating film inhibits the passage of water, yet it is chemically structured to enable trapped moisture to evaporate, thus preventing blisters from forming. Featuring incorporated additional fibres that behave like a built-in scrim while increasing the tensile strength of the dry film to make it more robust, these fibres interweave when the Acrypol+ coating is applied, bridging and filling cracks and gaps with a width of up to 10mm.
Normally Acrypol+ does not require any Sealer or Primers, however on rare occasions with friable/highly porous surfaces such as asbestos, concrete or when stone chippings have been removed, Acrypol+ may obtain better application results by initially applying the recommended Acrypol Sealer. In specific areas when tensile strength is not of vital importance and minimal structural movement occurs, for example, corrugated asbestos sheeting or when spray application of the coating is needed, standard Acrypol is available without fibres.
