This A1 innovative roofing underlay from Glidevale Protect has been designed to overcome the drawbacks of traditional Type 1F felts and second-generation plastic sheet materials. This 'third-generation' underlay is ideal for pitched roof constructions, whether you have tiled or slated roofs and insulation at ceiling joist or rafter level.
Thanks to its exceptional waterproofing capabilities, this Glidevale Protect A1 underlay ensures complete protection for your roof. It also serves as a temporary roof covering when needed. Its unique twin-ply composition comprises a polypropylene non-woven spun-bond layer and PP film. With outstanding nail tear and tensile strength, it provides durability and reliability. Meeting all the necessary wind uplift requirements in the UK and Ireland, this underlay is suitable for use in various exposure conditions from zones 1 to 5 at a 345mm batten gauge.
Not only is this Glidevale Protect A1 underlay built to withstand the elements, but it also boasts UV and heat stability, ensuring long-lasting performance. Its absorbent under-surface prevents condensate drip-off, eliminating any concerns about moisture-related issues. The embossed dark grey upper surface reduces glare while allowing for precise chalk line marking to simplify installation. This is not breathable so would not reccomend for that purpose, better to use the Tyvek UV Facade.
